Golden Dog

STRAY DOMESTIC CHICKEN SPOTTED. Spotted a black-feathered domestic chicken pecking in the grass at the intersection of Wilson and Beatrice, adjacent to Trowbridge Park, northwest corner. It was right near the wooded trail edge/tree line. Animal Control has been notified but they stated they will not dispatch an officer unless the bird is actively injured. Posting here in hopes the owner sees this or a local poultry rescuer can head out before dark/predators get to it. As far as I know, the chicken is still in the area. I spotted it approximately one hour ago and have been researching what to do about it ever since.

saw a green and red bird by O’Neill. didn’t want to scare it so i kept my distance. left some water out and walked away. hope it finds its way home

There’s a tortoiseshell cat at Central Oshawa right now. Looked well-groomed so probably has a home nearby. I don’t see anyone around looking for it. No collar that I could see. Hope someone recognizes it.
